Eric and I have never been accused of being "normal" lol. We are smart, caring, responsible maybe but not 100% normal in definition. Our wedding party reflects this aspect of our natures. We chose our wedding party from our closest and dearest friends. But as this is our wedding party, they to reflect the uniqueness of our natures and the quirkiness of our humor. Two of the groomsmen are, in fact, groomsladies. The bridal team consists of three friends with the very same first name but all different spellings. We have enjoyed great friendships with each of these people, laughing and celebrating or being there when needed most. While one paragraph can't fully explain the depths of who these friends are, or what they mean to us, it is our hope to at least convey a small bit of how wonderful they are and how priveleged we feel to count them as our friends and to have them stand with us as we say our wedding vows.

Mrs. Wendy Gonzales

This is my sister in all ways. We weren't born of the same parents but have known each other and been friends for 30 years now. Wendy and I have that special kind of friendship where we are inseparable in emotion but can go weeks, months, even years before and pickup right where we left off. Growing up we couldn't have been more different and perhaps thats why we work so well. I was the serious uptight one and she was fun hearted and silly at all times kind of girl. It always worked well and we are lucky to have each other after so many years and roads life has traveled. I treasure her more than I can express in words and wouldn't want anyone else for my Maid of Honor.

Ms. Wendi Venable

I cant' say exactly what year Wendi and I met but we have been friends for close to 20 years it seems. We actually met at a dog obedience class and have traveled to many a confirmation dog show together over the years. She is a top quality keeshond breeder in DFW and a good friend of mine always. I like how Wendi is blunt and honest with me always. She knows my personality very well and I can count on her to lend an ear when in doubt or help me with my lacking fashion sense :) There are many a times I've sent her dressing room pics with an unsure look on my face for approval and she is the best person I know to find a deal on anything and always has good luck with amazing customer service when things go wrong. I value her friendship always.

Mrs. Windy Gisch

Windy and I met at work and became close back in 2009 when we were both pregnant at the same time together. She and husband John have an older daughter Merideth then welcomed Shelby into the world just a few short months before Allison made her arrival known. Windy is a very compassionate and artistic person. She immediately became a very valuable friend to me and I appreciate having her in my life. She loves animals and loves taking on a challenge. She makes and sells her own beautiful scarves and other creations. She also loves doing her own creative things around the house such as the challenge of building her own chicken coop and upscale dog house. We once made our own project with concrete and gorgeous stones to make a mold of the girls hands and always have fun.

Ms. Allison Thompson

There is nothing I can say about this beautiful little girl everyone who has met her doesn't already know. I realize I am overly biased but Allison is a wonderful, intelligent and fun little girl. She loves going to gymnastics twice a week, taking guitar lessons, and being an artist at heart. Allison loves drawing pictures of our family, coloring, and painting. She is active and always up for a ride down to the lake whether it be on scooter, bike, or her newest attempt at transportation (rollerskates). That one is still a challenge. She truly lights up our lives and sings and dances regularly to performances she makes just for us. She is sensitive, kind, compassionate, and all girl. I am blessed to have her and priveleged to be her Mom.

Mr. Ryan

I met Ryan (or "RyRy" as he is better known) at Scarborough Faire through a mutual friend. Over the years we have enjoyed many more Faires together. He helped introduce me to camping at Sherwood, Cards Against Humanity, and true craft beer at Ron's Corner Tavern. A wonderful home chef in his own right, he always amazes with his FB posts of dinners prepared and breads baked. He is one of the most compassionate and sensitive men I know, though he would deny it. He has stood by me at my worst, and my best and helped me through troubled times. Both he and Mandi, were present when I met April at Sherwood, and he has been a strong supporter of our relationship and a source of joy for Allison. I am proud to call him a friend and have him by my side as my Best Man.

Ms. Tammy Wells

I met Tammy at Scarborough as well through the same mutual friend. We have enjoyed many a Faire together, both at Scarborough and down at Sherwood. She loves being around good friends and is always ready with her infectious laugh. A lover of music, she has joined us for many a night to the Blacony Club in Dallas where we've enoyed everything from Jazz to Texas Blues. She never waivered from my side when I was going through troubled times, and was always there to lend a sympathic ear. Though initially concerned at the speed of our courtship, once Tammy met April she quickly became a firm supporter of our relationship and plans for marriage. I am proud to call Tammy a friend, overjoyed that she and April have become fast friends, and delighted that she will be standing with me as I say "I do" to April.

Ms. Mandalynn Myers

I have known Mandi since she was six and lived in Colorado. When we first went to faire together she dressed as a princess...today she dresses as a Pirate, Steampunk, or as Daenerys. Together, and with others, we helped found the Royal Order of Privateers at Scarborough, a playtron group that is still going strong 6 years later. In her youth I introduced her to The Magic Time Machine, which became a favourite B-day spot for a while, and then later introduced her to Pizzeria Unos, which to this day remains our favourite pizza spot (though we have pledged that if either of us wins the Lotto we'll do a Pizza Tour of the U.S. and Italy). She has spent many a night, taking care of Gideon (my rescue mutt) when I've been away, and they have formed a unique bond that can only be created over pizza and horror movies. She was with RyRy and me the day I met April at Sherwood and I may not have meet April if Mandi wasn't already good friends with April's cousin Capt. Wolf.  It has been a joy to watch her grow up and become the strong and amazing lady she is and I am proud to call her a friend, a pizza buddy, and a groomslady.
